Jon Cunha
Jon is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), earning his master’s degree from Lesley University in clinical mental health counseling. He is a co-owner of Riser and Tread, a company dedicated to helping young people ages 8-25 “Step Up + Move Forward.”
He specializes in working with people who experience attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, and mental performance. I also have a passion for sports.
Jon was a three-time All-American in track and field at Wheaton College (MA) until injury ended my aspirations of reaching the Olympics. That experience motivated him to support others going through similar disappointments. He has developed a training program for athletes, coaches, and organizations to strengthen mental fitness and performance.
Along with his clinical license, Jon also coached track and field for almost a decade. He now combines the benefits of therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), with athletic coaching principles, such as goal setting, facing fear, purpose development, and mindfulness.
